Safer crossing plan – Council to hold public meeting

July 3rd, 2012

Collecting signatures for the Upper Tollington Park petitionHaringey Council have agreed to hold a public meeting to discuss how to spend the £120,000 that has been allocated to safety measures on Upper Tollington Park. The money was awarded after a two year campaign by local councillors and Lynne Featherstone MP.

The meeting will be held at 6pm on Monday 9th July at Stroud Green School (entrance on Perth Road). On the agenda will be plans to improve the junction with Lancaster Road and Scarborough Road, as well as the junction with Florence Road and the adjacent pedestrian crossing.

My colleague Katherine Reece has already written to local residents and got a range of input and ideas, but this meeting will give local people chance to speak directly to the officers in charge of the project. Please come along and have your say.
